KUAH LANGKAWI

If it’s your first time, this monument is a must visit! A massive eagle statue at the edge of the pier that’s worth taking some scenic photos. We visited on a weekday, there was barely any crowd. We managed to get our shots within 30 minutes but upon heading back to my part I was greeted with a parking fine. They need to provide more digital payment parking options because the use of “parking coupons” is just too prehistoric for such as big tourist attraction.

You can spot this outstanding monument from far calling you to visit it. Located near the jetty makes it easy for people to go there. There are ample of parking areas yet they are made quite far from the complex so expect yourself to walk to the venue. When you reach the square, you can see the delicate details of the Eagle from behind. Enjoy the scenery and especially the monument for it is one of the amazing monuments commemorated for this legendary island.

Definitely this is one of the most important spots in Langkawi to visit. The majestic statue of the Eagle/Helang stands tall overlooking the waters and beyond and is a sight to behold. Cool spot to hang out at or just to take pictures for the 'Gram!.

Great place to catch the sunset. Clear lack of upkeep to the overall facility and facade, but Dataran Lang still remains as one of the nicer spots to catch the sunset on any given day in Langkawi. We went on a weekend evening but there were very few crowd. On one hand it could be because of the post-Covid has not yet fully returned to Langkawi, but on the other hand, could also be due to the inadequete upkeep of the facilities.
